Sarah Williams
I have always been a rather dramatic kind of gal. My mother instilled a love of music and the performing arts within me from an early age, and I have continued to dabble in that passion over the past 25 years.
I joined the Greymouth Operatic Society 2 years ago, yet it feels as though I’ve known these wonderful people for decades. I’ve been lucky enough to take on several interesting roles including; Gwynfa in ‘Sh!t Happens,’ Morticia in ‘The Addams Family,’ Raywen in ‘Joyful and Triumphant’ and now Torrey in ‘Freaky Friday.’ I was very pleased when Cary came to me at our first rehearsal and said my character was a bit of a lush, nothing like life imitating art, just kidding… (although I’ve never been one to say no to a wee sauvignon blanc.) I hope you enjoy the punchy musical numbers and slick comedic timing of our wonderful cast and musicians. It’s been such a pleasure performing with my friends again, our Society truly is a crazy, dramatic family that I’m very pleased to be a part of.
