I have loved acting for as long as I can remember, and was first introduced to acting when I was around one .. I was always Acting up! ”Ba dum tss,” ...Haha.
But really, I was about one when I would watch dad up on stage singing and dancing in big groups, I thought it looked so weird! I still thought it was cool though. Growing up I was in a few shows. I played Pompom the dog in Bad Jelly the Witch and a lion in a play I can’t recall the name of. When I started high school, I got into music, specifically singing and playing the piano, and I often perform around town. I have had so many opportunities that have come from my singing and am proud to say it is something I never want to stop doing. I also enjoy dancing, and have done a few cool things involving that! On the acting side, I played the part of a hairdresser and was a chorus member in the Greymouth Operatic production of 1001 Arabian Nights. I was also Crystal in the Greymouth Operatic production of "Sh!t Happens!" and Wednesday Addams in last year's production of The Addams Family.
I would love to one day make the performing arts my profession and am willing to put in the work required to make my dreams come true. Next year, I hope to attend NASDA (National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art) in Christchurch. I am SO excited to be playing Ellie Blake in this year's production of Freaky Friday! This is my last chance to do a show in Greymouth for a while, and this is the perfect show for a finish. We are all excited to bring this show to you.
